My twin brother Stephen and I walked over to the wonderful Podil district and headed to Kontraktova Square to enjoy the wonderful Christmas market held in that square and one of the standout buildings in this square is St Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, a beautiful piece of architecture, its evocative tower looks stunning as does the blue painted facade ,made for some great photographic opportunities especially with the fading light,a wonderful looking church in a beautiful square, most definitely well worth checking out and easy to locate on Kontraktova Square.

Services are no longer held at this temple. It's located at Kontraktova Square behind the Ferris wheel. This is a typical Baroque cathedral of Ukrainian architecture. Unfortunately, only the bell tower has been preserved.
