Shrovetide in Ancient Kiev
On February 17 and 18, a full-scale Maslenitsa celebration in Ukraine will take place in the Park of Kievan Rus. Ancient traditions and rituals of Maslenitsa, an exciting performance with the participation of a horse-stunt and foot theater, a solemn meeting of the prince, delicious pancakes with various fillings, a bright theatrical program, gifts and much more await you. And the holiday will end with the traditional burning of the biggest scarecrow of Ukraine, shooting from the trebuchet with fiery cannonballs and a bright night fire show.
