Service description

The camp program contains 30 hours of spoken English and is designed for children aged 9-14 years with any level of language proficiency. During each shift, 50 children rest in the camp, divided into groups of 9-10 people for maximum effectiveness of the program. Certified teachers and language school teachers work with children.

The camp has been held annually since 2016, has an interesting concept and a long-term background in providing a unique experience for children. Recreation combines effective learning, intellectual development, active recreation and health improvement. Infrastructure

The hotel complex where the camp takes place is located near the Krasiya resort in the village of Vyshka, Transcarpathian region. This is a safe gated cottage complex located in the heart of the Carpathians on the banks of the Vyshka River, in a picturesque valley among the fabulous forests of the Uzhansky National Natural Park. The complex is surrounded by incredibly picturesque landscapes and crystal clear air. A safe and cozy place to relax, improve your health and gain new knowledge in an informal, cozy environment.

On the territory of the complex there are:

  • 9 cottages with double, triple and quadruple rooms (all rooms have bathrooms).
    A restaurant with a spacious hall that serves delicious dishes of national Ukrainian cuisine.

Accommodation for children

Children live in rooms with 2-3-4 people per room. Each room has a wardrobe, a balcony with mountain views, and a private bathroom (sink, toilet, shower). All rooms are equipped with towels, bed linen, and hairdryer. Children are placed in rooms according to age and gender.

Camp program

The concept of the camp includes effective language practice, intellectual development, active recreation and health improvement. In addition to 30 hours of English, the program is rich in a variety of sports, creative and intellectual activities. Teachers strive for the comprehensive development of each child, identifying and revealing their talents, creativity, developing innovative thinking, developing leadership qualities and the ability to make independent decisions.

The program is developed by a team of experienced teachers, psychologists and event managers, and is updated and improved every year. Counselors monitor the current interests of children, based on popular games, films, children's TV series and other hobbies, so that the program is as exciting, interesting and easily accepted by children as possible. The goal is to make the time spent at La La Wood unforgettable and beneficial for the development of each child.

Team

Team leaders who work with children are certified teachers and teachers of language schools. Only professionals and people who are passionate about their work are accepted into the team, because working with children is a special professional activity that requires full dedication and a high level of training.
A group of 9-10 children is assigned 1 adult, so each child has the opportunity to directly contact the team lead with absolutely any question, and she will be heard and understood. Children are always in the team leaders’ field of view.
Teachers have more than 5 years of experience working with children, undergo special training and first aid courses as part of the Red Cross program before the start of the season. All team leads are cheerful, responsive, attentive and easy-going people who are able to create a trusting atmosphere and establish a special connection with children.

Nutrition

The restaurant has a special menu for school-age children. Dishes of Hutsul cuisine made from natural, environmentally friendly products. All dishes are prepared taking into account the recommendations for healthy eating by the World Health Organization. The camp has five meals a day: breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks (fruits, berries, cookies, fresh dairy products). Children eat deliciously and
varied. The menu always includes:

  • First meal.
  • Fish and meat dishes.
  • Dairy products.
  • Seasonal vegetables and fruits.
  • Fresh berries.

For children with certain dietary needs, an individual menu is developed:

Safety

The administration of the children's camp pays special attention to the safety of children during their stay in the camp:

  • The territory of the hotel complex is closed, fenced and guarded around the clock. The complex is under constant video surveillance.
  • During the night's rest, the territory of the hotel and the entire complex is monitored by the night duty officer.
  • Team leads are with children around the clock and accompany them at all events.
  • The camp administration and health worker are always in touch with parents.
  • Daily video/photo reports on social resources, in the messenger for parents.

Medical service

There is a doctor in the camp around the clock and the necessary minimum of first aid is provided. 6 km from the hotel in the village. Kostrina has a medical facility; if necessary and with the permission of the parents, the camp staff is always ready to take the child there. The doctor conducts temperature screenings of children and adults, monitors compliance with medical and sanitary standards on the territory of the complex, controls the availability of sanitizers and the ventilation regime of the premises. The doctor monitors children's medication intake if the child must take medication during the holidays, and is also responsible for enforcing dietary restrictions for children with allergies and intolerances. All children are insured, the insurance covers the duration of the transfer and stay in the camp.

  • In the event that a child’s vacation is interrupted due to illness, the Customer is refunded those funds that have not yet been paid by the Contractor to subcontractors (cost of excursions, entrance tickets, participation in master classes, etc.).
  • In case of refusal/impossibility of travel, regardless of the reasons, after booking the tour and making payment for the group transfer specified in clause 4.1, the transfer cost will not be refunded.
