PREPARATION FOR ANALYSIS
To exclude factors that may affect the results of the study, you must adhere to the following preparation rules:
- An important condition for laboratory tests is fasting blood donation - a 6–12 hour fasting period. On the day of the study, it is permissible to drink a small amount of water.
- 6-12 hours before the study, alcohol, smoking, food intake should be excluded, and physical activity should be limited.
- To exclude medication, if it is not possible to cancel medication, the laboratory must be informed.
- Children under 5 years old should be given boiled water before donating blood (in portions up to 150-200 ml for 30 minutes).
- For infants - before donating blood, maintain the maximum possible pause between feedings.
